Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum
The Hospital in the Rock played an important historical role as an emergency facility, both during World War II and the 1956 revolution. It was converted into a nuclear bunker during the Cold War and has been open to the public as a museum on a permanent basis since 2008.
Our programs are only available in Hungarian! We can provide printed guide sheets in English for foreign visitors, our audio guide service is not available on the Night of the Museums!
ATTENTION! Visiting the Hospital in the Rock is not allowed under the age of 6, not recommended under 12.
Buy your wristband in advance and visit us before the official start of the program, from 10 am. Wristbands can be purchased:
- Online at www.sziklakorhaz.hu - you can book your appointment and avoid qeueing!
- In advance at the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum. ATTENTION! If you buy your wristband in the Museum, booking appointment is not possible!
- On the day of the Night of Museums at the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum.
- Wristbands can be picked up in the Museum during opening time until 21/6/2024 or at the Information Point (in front of the Entrance of the Museum) on 22/6/2024.
On the Night of the Museums from 10 am to 6 pm, it is ONLY possible to visit the museum with a wristband purchased at the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum!
OPENING HOURS from 10 am to midnight (last entry at 11 pm)
BETWEEN 10AM - 6PM - Visiting with a guided tour EXCLUSIVELY with a wristband purchased at the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum!
BETWEEN 6PM - 12PM - Visit with a wristband purchased ANYWHERE
* The wristbands purchased from us are, of course, valid in all participating museums.
