Where can I buy tickets?
In Budapest, you can purchase armbands for the Night of Museums in participating museums. Outside Budapest you can purchase tickets in the museums. You can buy tickets online at www.jegymester.hu
How much do the tickets cost?
In Budapest, armbands for adults cost 1500 HUF, and armbands for children (valid for children between the age of 6 and 18) cost 800 HUF. Under the age of 6, the entrance is free.
Regarding tickets for museums outside of Budapest, you can find information at your local museums.
What does the armband entitle you to?
The armband allows access to all the programmes of the participating museums and other cultural institutions and entitles you to visit the permanent and temporary exhibitions as well. Some exhibitions can only be visited by a limited amount of people at a time due to the size and type of said exhibitions. We will be posting all necessary information regarding these restrictions as well as the registration process.
What kind of discounts are available during the time of the event?
During this evening, apart from the discounts for disabled people, other discounts are not available.
What is the recommended route to take during the Night of Museums?
If you plan to visit the locations in the capital, it’s recommended to plan your route with the MUZEJ [email protected] app. We recommend using public transport and alternative ways of traveling. Both the daytime and nighttime means of public transportation are available, but you can get to most of the locations with a car as well.
Can the programmes change?
Although we are trying to publish with the utmost care programmes and relating information on our website, there can be modifications compared to the advertised events, therefore, the participating institutions reserve the right to change the programme.
Who can visit the exhibition?
The exhibitions can be visited according to the usual legislation, with extra attention paid to COVID safety measures.
In addition to the Hungarian protection certificate, the protection certificates of the following countries are currently accepted in Hungary: Albania, Bahrain, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Mongalia, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine.
What health regulations are in place for these exhibitions?
The usual pandemic-related health regulations are in place for these exhibitions. The official website shares all information regarding these regulations. During outdoor presentations everyone is required to keep a 1.5 meter distance from each other.
