
The flagship venue of the 2022 Night of the Museums is the western Hungarian town of Szolnok.
The city of Szolnok has joined the Night of the Museums since its inception, and since 2017, with the active coordination of the Szolnok Mayor’s Office the city has been part of the event with several institutions and various local groups adding variety at multiple locations across town. This year, visitors are expected at 23 locations with a wide variety of events, while another nine smaller adjacent settlements have also joined forces with them. The various institutions will offer guided visitors young and old tours of their facilities and exhibitions, live performances, concerts, movie screenings, contests, presentations, handicraft activities, puppet shows, city tours and sweepstakes. Additional attractions include a night fair and telescopes will be available to gaze at the wonders of the night sky.
