The Japanese Garden is almost 100 years old, founded by Varga Márton, located in 14th district of Budapest. Varga Márton Museum with history of the school, the first director, the japanese garden and the material and written records of horticultural and surveying education. Guided tours in Hungarian language in the Japanese Garden from 17.00 till 22.00 in every hour and in  the Museum from 17.00 till 24.00 in every hour. From darkness - during the Japanese Garden Guided tour - there are lampion candles on the garden lake showing the Japanese tradition of the OBON Festival.  The Obon Festival (お盆, also known as the Bon Festival) is an annual Japanese holiday in which deceased ancestors are remembered. It is believed that their spirits return to visit their relatives during this time. Floating lanterns (toro nagashi) are floated down a river to the sea to symbolically send the spirits of their ancestors to heaven. Kagami-Ryú martial arts demonstration and Tea tasting in the teahouse (azumaya)., plus observing stars with a telescope in every hour as part of the Japanese garden walk.
