The Kassák Museum is a member institution of the Petőfi Literary Museum, and has operated since 1976 in the building of the Zichy-castle in Óbuda. The museum preserves, researches and presents the material and intellectual legacy of Hungarian avant-grde writer, visual artist and editor Lajos Kassák (1887–1967). Our aim is that the museum step up to be an acknowledged location of Kassák researches carried out in the Central European region and to become a factor in the international research of avant-gardes and modernisms.

The Kassák Museum can be easily reached by several means of public transport. The Kassák Museum is one minute walk from Szentlélek tér bus station and Árpád híd tram station and 4-5 minutes walk from Flórián tér (square). From HÉV (Suburban Railway) H5 – from the direction of Batthyány square and of Szentendre - get off at “Szentlélek tér”. The exhibition hall of the Kassák Museum is located on the first floor in the Zichy Palace at Óbuda's Fő tér (square).
