House of Arts Veszprém / Dubniczay Palace
Dubniczay Palace
The palace was built by Canon István Dubniczay in 1751. The building on Szentháromság Square is one of the most beautiful Baroque monuments of Veszprém. During the reconstruction of the palace, meticulously elaborated decorative paintings in good condition were discovered and restored. There are three exhibition rooms in the wing of the palace and two galleries in the palace. All the exhibition spaces offer visitors temporary exhibitions.
The basement of the Dubniczay Palace houses the Tegularium - a collection of bricks: monogrammed, scratched, stencilled, sealed, crested bricks and special roof tiles. The exhibition shows the use of clay-based building materials from Roman times to the present day, as well as the old tools of brick-making.
Musical Pop-up Café
In the courtyard of Dubniczay Palace a pop-up café awaits guests looking for refreshment and relaxation from 17:00 pm. to 1:00 am.
