Gabi Gubás

Ambassador of the Night of Museums
A Múzeumok Éjszakája nagykövete: Gubás Gabi

Gabi Gubás, recipient of the Mari Jászai Award and the prestigious Artist of Merit title, is a well-known Hungarian actress with a long list of theatrical, film, and television successes—as well as memorable voice-over performances. When we approached her, she gladly accepted the invitation to promote Hungary’s most popular cultural event, as art and culture are close to her heart.

As the ambassador of the Night of Musems, Gabi takes us on a journey even before the event begins. She guides us through the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, where we get a glimpse into the everyday life of Empress Elisabeth—better known as Sissi. Then she offers a taste of the Ethnographic Museum’s unique program lineup, where she meets a Székely woodcarver and a dancer, and explores the ethnographic treasures of the world.
In Miskolc—this year’s featured city—she follows in the footsteps of Róza Laborfalvi and Mór Jókai, and later discovers hundreds of thousands of years old paleontological finds at the Pannon Museum.

Her experiences are captured in our short films.

This summer, cultural institutions across the country are preparing once again with extraordinary programs for Hungary’s largest and most beloved cultural celebration.

Join us for this magical summer evening of culture!
