Hungarian Open Air Museum
How did our great-grandparents live 100-200 years ago? How did they love, give birth, work, build, or celebrate in Hungary's villages and farming towns? In the picturesque surroundings of Szentendre, the Hungarian Open Air Museum offers a chance to learn about the lives of Anna Tüske, Boldizsár Vladár, or Móric Subert, sometimes through play and sometimes through reflection.
Night of Museums - Jókai night at the Skanzen
On the occasion of the Jókai 200 Memorial Year, the Szentendre Skanzen joins the Night of the Museums with several thematic programmes. The central themes are nature, love, gastronomy, and social life in Jókai's time, with interactive programmes evoking the atmosphere of the second half of the 19th century and the world of Jókai. Aimed at young audiences, our diverse programme includes a range of artistic disciplines, including literature, drama, music and gastronomy. The event will feature concerts, roundtables, living history presentations, fashion shows, and literary film screenings.
