House of Arts Veszprém / Dubniczay Palace
Dubniczay Palace
The palace was built by Canon István Dubniczay in 1751. The building on Szentháromság Square is one of the most beautiful Baroque monuments of Veszprém. During the reconstruction of the palace, meticulously elaborated decorative paintings in good condition were discovered and restored. There are three exhibition rooms in the wing of the palace and two galleries in the palace. All the exhibition spaces offer visitors temporary exhibitions.
The basement of the Dubniczay Palace houses the Tegularium - a collection of bricks: monogrammed, scratched, stencilled, sealed, crested bricks and special roof tiles. The exhibition shows the use of clay-based building materials from Roman times to the present day, as well as the old tools of brick-making.

Loneliness in old age affects 2/3 of people. What can we hold on to if we only have a dialogue with ourselves? A dancer, a choreographer and a puppet-master work together on memories and remembering.
A performance based on movement without text, gestures and puppet theatre elements. The aim of Rita Góbi and Tamás Somogyi is to look at ageing, loneliness and the question of facing memories with humour and humanity, and to make the audience think about the period of life that will come in all of our lives.
When we see an elderly person, can we imagine what they have been through? What was it like when they were young? What goals and opportunities did they have, what kind of life did they lead? Can the older self connect with the young self, or does the ageing of the body take the soul and spirit with it? The themes of the lecture are ageing, loneliness and memory.
"Góbi is indeed a brilliant performer, she can make the audience believe everything, she immediately won me over in the pocketful of life as an old woman, sometimes confused, sometimes dreaming, sometimes drunk with happiness, flitting about in her old age, only her eyes were revealing, they sparkled with youth and mischievousness. And comical, I would say"- Csaba Králl, Life and Literature
