The Eötvös Museum of Natural History is located at the Lágymányos riverside campus of the Eötvös Loránd University, between the Petőfi and Rákóczi bridges, on the Buda side. It is open from 15.00 to 23.00 at the Museums’ Night.

The Building 1/C (dark reddish cube) hosts the historic Mineral and Rock Hall and the Biology and Palaeontology Exhibition. The building will have only one entrance open (facing north).

The Museum is accessible by public transport:

- by Museum bus 4 heading city center (circular Budafok Line, MU4 operating from 18.00) => from the stop Egyetemváros – A38 port, (bus stops at Danube side)

- by Museum bus 4 heading Budafok (circular Budafok Line, MU4 operating from 18.00) => from the stop Infopark - Pázmány Péter sétány (at the foot of Rákóczi bridge)

- by trams 4-6 from the stop Petőfi-bridge (Buda side),

by tram 1 from the stop Infopark.

Between the two ELTE buildings (Pázmány Péter sétány 1/A and 1/C, a MOL BUBI docker station is available, too.

Visitors arriving by car may use the parking lot of the University Campus: it is accessible only from the Magyar tudósok körútja (Magyar tudósok boulevard), at the gate closer to the Danube. Departure is possible to the Magyar tudósok körútja (boulevard), at the gate farther from the Danube, or via the gate in front of building A. Ringing the bell might be necessary on both arrival and departure.
