Emmerich Kálmán Memorial House

The Emmerich Kálmán Memorial House was opened in 1987, on the 105th anniversary of Emmerich Kálmán's birth. The famous Hungarian operetta composer was born in Siófok in this house on 24th of October 1882.

On the ground floor, there is our permanent exhibition which presents the composer Emmerich Kálmán, the main stages of his life and carreer. Most of the exhibited furniture and objects were donated to the memorial house by Emmerich Kálmán's widow Vera Kálmán (1910-1999) and his children, Yvonne (1936–) and Charles Kálmán (1929-2015).
