Tradition and renewal in Hungarian folk crafts

Permanent exhibition
exhibition

The Folk Arts and Crafts Collection in Kecskemét is one of the leading institutions in Hungary, which provides a comprehensive picture of Hungarian folk arts.

Folk arts is non-static, a living art form that changes with age, taste and needs. In addition to presenting the works of old masters, the renewed permanent exhibition will also feature young, high-quality artists. The exhibition presents all five main majors of folk arts in a worthy way: carving, pottery, embroidery, weaving and folk crafts.

About half of the exhibited works are owned by the Budapest-based Museum of Hungarian Applied Folk Art maintained by the Hungarian Heritage House, we can present these artifacts based on a deposit contract.
