"School at the Frontier"
Are you curious about what your grandparents or great-grandparents learned in school?
The folk school classroom, designed to evoke the 1930s, awaits both young and old three times during the night in the Museum building. Through our museum education sessions, participants can experience the spirit of national education between the two world wars through three period lessons – penmanship, geography, and history & civics. They will get a glimpse into the world of folk school education, the daily routines of classes, and teaching methods. Our immersive program allows participants to engage in the collaborative work of students and teachers, and to use the teaching and demonstration tools of the era in a folk school classroom.
Event times: 19:00; 20:30; 22:00.
