Edible Wild Plants in Literature and History
Our participatory space promoting environmental awareness, Botanikart, presents a new exhibition as a continuation of the cultural and artistic programme on the use of wild, edible plants, launched in 2023 in collaboration with Elefsina, within the framework of the European Capital of Culture initiative.
The exhibition invites visitors to explore dishes and culinary tales imagined from the tables of well-known Hungarian queens. Marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of author Mór Jókai, the display also features recipes inspired by his favourite meals—reimagined with a contemporary, plant-based twist in the spirit of modern nutrition.
Alongside the culinary narratives and recipes by our colleagues Edit Árkovics and Zsuzsi Horváth, guests are welcome to enjoy a tasting of plant-based beverages.
