Different location: Ádám Jenő Emlékház

Jenő Ádám was a Kossuth Prize-winning music educator and conductor from Szigetszentmiklós. The famous native of the village led an extraordinarily colorful and adventurous life, the memories of which are showcased in the memorial exhibition set up in his childhood home.

Jenő Ádám is a 20th-century musician who has unfortunately fallen into undeserved obscurity — despite the fact that, thanks to his work, the solmization-based method of music education spread not only in Hungary but around the world. Throughout his life, his goal was to teach and popularize Hungarian music. As a student of Zoltán Kodály, he played an active role in shaping the Kodály Concept. His original compositions have a unique atmosphere, most of which remain largely unknown even today.

Visit the permanent exhibition arranged from the master’s legacy! Discover Jenő Ádám’s musical oeuvre and immerse yourself in the unique world of one of the key figures of the Kodály Concept!

The exhibition is open from 5 PM to 10 PM! Admission is free!
