Musical Beasts - Fungi and Plants

The Latin word bestia means “beast” or “wild animal.” It is a straightforward term: on one hand, it denotes something untamed, and on the other, it does not refer to a plant being.

Since we are unlikely to wander through the meadows or forest paths of music history in person, the Musical Beasts series in Veszprém offers a unique opportunity. In this edition, music historian Ádám Bősze gathers a colourful bouquet of music’s most vivid plants, including edible and poisonous fungi, weaving together fascinating stories from the history of music.
