guided tour
The spring exhibition of the Modern Art Gallery - László Vass Collection presents the works of five Hungarian painters, Barna Benedek, István Halmi - Horváth, Károly Szelényi, Bertalan Varga and András Wolsky, reflecting on the art of Josef Albers. What the exhibited paintings have in common is that they use their own artistic means to express the potential of the duality inherent in the themes of homage to Albers and homage to the square.
The painter Josef Albers /1888 -1976/ was born in Bottrop, Germany, a twin town of Veszprém, and became one of the most important representatives of modern geometric art and a renowned teacher of art history and colour studies.
