Exhibition of Books on Medicine

On the Night of the Museums the exhibition of our medical books offers an insight into our museum collection. The opening of the exhibition will take place on the 25th of June from 19.00 in our Boardroom (1053 Budapest, Ferenciek tere 6.) on the second floor.

The 16th century was one of the most important periods in the development of medicine. The first anatomical and botanical nomenclatures, anatomical atlases based on dissections and illustrated with detailed diagrams, and prescription books with pictures of medicinal plants were published. We have displayed a selection of such volumes from the 16th century collection of the University Library. More details about our programmes are available here and on our library website.
