Budapest Klezmer Band Concert

The Budapest Klezmer Band has been entertaining its audience since 1990 with its dynamic and humorous stage performances. It virtually combines the different musical trends of the Carpathian Basin. The members of the band are true masters of their instruments, redefining klezmer music across genre boundaries. In the specific musical compositions, the traditional Yiddish motifs are complemented by elements of gypsy music and folk music, which are spiced with a drop of modernity.

The founding leader and composer of the band is Ferenc Jávori “Fegya”, whose innovative ideas have created the genres of klezmer ballet, klezmer suite and klezmer musical in Hungary. Each art production was made with world-class Hungarian co-creators. The demanding musical world of the diverse klezmer with a typical Carpathian basin atmosphere represented by the band is a huge success for both European and overseas audiences. The Budapest Klezmer Band holds many prestigious recognitions and awards.
