If you wanted to attend Al Capone’s trial, or you don’t have the faintest idea about how a volcano from New Zeland influenced the Roman military clothing, you can’t miss the Night of Museums!
On the 25th of June close to 500 museums will stay open throughout the country and await visitors under the moonlight night sky. This year the event’s theme will be heroes, explorers and innovators and besides the capital, other towns will also participate. In 2016 we focus on Kecskemét, offering many fascinating programs for cultural enthusiasts. Culture lovers will have a chance to attend special guided tours with famous Hungarian artist and get an insight into the everyday work of archeologists, art restorers, archivists. They can rove through the hidden parts of the museums. Of course there will be plenty of programs suitable for children, as well as concerts and gastronomic specialities. The usual Midsummer’s Eve activities will also be included: with bonfires to jump over and torch jugglers, the night will be phenomenal!
